Change of Season's

Hi all, well I haven't stepped out with my camera but we're in the beginning of a great dumping of freezing rain and snow on us here in the North East. I live near Lake Ontario near this pier. Just thougth I'd show you the looks of it. Summer, late Fall, Winter.

And for those of you that do not realize that the ice build up along the lake shore (the last 2 pics) is never safe due to air pockets and non-solid ice... here's a pic of some guy walking across it. It's a no - no! But he's too busy with his pamphlet or something to care.

See: Changes! Gotta love winter! Well it's a White Christmas!

Storm Forecast

We are having some technical issues with the weather forecast on our website. This is Kevin Williams' latest forecast for sunday as this winter storm continues.

Sleet, freezing rain and snow turning to all snow and becoming heavy and wind-blown at times through the afternoon. Snowfall accumulations today 5 to 9 inches. High 25-30. Tonight: Snow, wind-blown and occasionally heavy, with blizzard-like conditions at times, especially near Lake Ontario. TOTAL storm accumulations 15-20 inches from Route 104 north to the Lake Ontario shore, 10-15 inches most elsewhere, except less than 10 inches Southern Tier. Low teens.

MONDAY: Blustery and cold with some lake snow and blowing snow. Final storm totals will range anywhere from 12 to 20 inches in the Rochester area to near 20 inches or more closer to the lakeshore. Less than 12 inches is expected in areas well south of the Thruway. Temperatures will be stuck in the mid 20s on gusty winds.

It's interesting how the States can look so peaceful... until you find yourself in the midle of weather fronts!

The yellow "X" marks my spot on Earth, in the clear for the moment! :p
