Despite everything that is going on we have been able to get away and do our part to save history, well that is how we see it. We now have three active sites and one downtown charleston that we have permission to detect on. Found some really cool stuff and unsure of the identification is on a couple of them. This charleston site has lots of trash, as it is in a high traffic area. I had to put aside my favorite detector the Minelab Sovereign, do to so much trach and power lines. Went to the Equinox and worked much better but still my friend was doing so much better. He was using the Nokta so I went and grabbed mine and it was game on. His best find was an 1846 Mechanic Slave tag that was all rolled up. Most of the material is encrusted and will have to let soak for a couple days, The Green River token is just awesome and had some great history behind it. Not sure what the W. Mills. Patent badge looking thing is or the octagon button thing that I think has a Eagle on it. Also a group of buttons/fasteners I have no idea. Plenty of flat buttons and a Reale that are not photographed, it is in bad shape..... I am going again on Thursday and hopefully have some cool finds. Please let me know your input on any identification, The partial Eagle button, I am hoping is civil war era, thanks again for your help
