Cheapest/ Best/ deepest wet beach sand MD'er??

I have an Ace 250 right now and am looking for a good salt water/ wet sand metal detector. However, I don't really wanna pay for a high end machine right now. I used to have a Garrett GTA750, which worked well in the sand and shallow salt water but I dont think it penetrated very deep. It goes for around $300'ish on ebay and am considering getting another one if I cant find one that maybe better and deeper for the same price or less. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Look into the Minelab Sovereign series. If your on a budget you can get the original Sovereign for a couple hundred bucks these days. One of the best sand detectors there is. It has a great all metal mode.
