I recently shared a little rundown video of my scorpion Gold Stinger and a hunt where my kid found a gold ring on his first hunt. About a week later I get an email from Google telling me how they would like me to monetize my video. I had to look it up and research it.

Seems they pay you for a small ad or commercial placed at the beginning or bottom of the video. This is bonkers yes/no? I am sure I will not make any more than I find metal detecting (pennies).....but sure why not? This is free money.

That being said I will probably not post anymore videos here as I am unsure how the mods/admins feel about monetized videos. I know some forums will not allow it. Perhaps I will just post them un-monetized and then monetize them after they are no longer popular so I am not "cashing in" from TN....but even that would be skirting rules so I better just not do it.

That also being said....a link or something would have been nice? You are telling us to go search your name on Youtube and then subscribe? I am not sure how I feel about this either. I'm a pretty lazy guy to be honest....metal detecting takes most of it out of me. If I don't get rich off these monetized videos I am going to start producing....I'm going to retire a poor fool.

I do not like it when people outright ask, "Please Subscribe Me" I prefer it when people subscribe because they would like to not because they were asked.
