Does anybody know about slave tags and where they exclusively may just in Charleston. A buddy of mine heard that and he said this one may be fake.

I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole :cat:

Fake.To much information on it,to glorified if that's the right word.

a Little too Contradictory imo.

If a slave was Freed, Would they Want or Need to wear another Tag ?

& if she was Authorized to Wash Clothes for Troops for a Daily Allowance of food.
That would make her a Present Slave for them. not freed.

Do a lot of research on this...you should find answers there.

I did and told him it’s fake and my money was refunded. I have to learn to do research BEFORE I bid.

Good to see the money back in your pocket.

I have seen originals, and this is not one. Plus, they were indeed from the Charleston, SC area only. All the ones I have seen are in brass. This one is in a gorget shape, the ones I have personally seen have been rectangular. I do remember some other sizes, pentagram or diamond shape. All were stamped brass. I never saw one as late as the 1860's. Never with Confederate States of America on it.

Smokey what coil are you using on your Deus?

I'm using the 9" elliptical high frequency coil.

BTW Anything with "Confederate States of America', with the exception of currency, and perhaps a few documents, is most likely bogus.

Yeah I know smoky I just learned that. Thank you my Queen [emoji73]

Truth, no that's not how I do it. We just found some sites no one had even knew existed that happened to have good stuff there. There was activity nearby and we just worked on looking for old roadways, sometimes with satellite imagery, sometimes with geologic deformations. Sometimes on just hunches. However, a few of the deeper items I never would have found with that machine.

Good you got your money back theres some good fakes of just about everything

You lucked out on that one Truth. I mean getting your money back.

Ebay treats me real good. I remember I wanted to melt gold into small bars I thought it would be easy (yeah right) I bought all the equipment and purchased some gold dental teeth lol
Like $600 dollars worth well he failed to mention and with my ignorance at the time, it wasn’t solid gold it was wrapped around clement. Ebay sent me the money back and let me keep the teeth. Now that was lucky I was about to get sick. I buy a lot off eBay.
