In 1985 Marty McFly travels thirty years back in time to the year 1955.
If Marty traveled back thirty years today, he would travel back to the year 1985... That's bound to make some of us feel old.
In Back to the Future II, Marty travels thirty years ahead in time, from the year 1985 to the year 2015... So remember this is how we are all supposed to dress now!

Thought police, Newspeak, heck - we even have a whole network devoted to revisionist history (the "History" Channel - probably run by aliens working with Templars to put the real history in a memoryhole).
