Hello! I decided it was time to stop lurking and register. I grew up with my parents having and old Radio Shack MD they kept in the motorhome and used on our camping trips. My 7 year old daughter saw a detecting video online and became interested and the wife watches the Diggers TV show but seems to want to go panning. Myself, well I prefer the Detectorists TV show. Anyway I decided that I would carry on with what my parents did and bring a MD with us on our camping trips as well as using it around the cities.I've always been interested in the history of the Twin Cites and Minnesota especially along the North Shore. It's a fun family hobby. I find the spot with the detector and my daughter uses the orange carrot while the wife keeps track of us, directs and records. Fun stuff.
