Well weather this weekend was windy and low tide was slow to come so I couldn’t get to we’re I wanted to hunt so just detected were I could get to but came home with my 3rd trime 1862 can’t believe I saw this little coin in my scoop thanks for looking

It is incredible these little coins could survive so long in salt water. Nice find.
 

Some nice old silver treasure! I hunt the bay several miles north of you, all the silver I dig is crusty.. cookie coins.
 

Try taking a pic of your trime on a black background. Preferably one that is not shiny. The white background is fooling your camera and stopping down the exposure.
 

thanks salt down here is not to bad most of the modern copper is junk.salt just seems to turn silver black here.Ill be out oc md for a week sept 14 thru the 21st.planing to bring my detector and doing some spots out that way then.I also am going to go up in to Delaware and see that museum forget the name but guy has a museum set up of all his finds from his whole life detecting.sould be a fun week
