I traveled to Chicago for business this week and was able to get out in the evenings and hunt some public parks. Here are some of the notable finds with the Equinox 800. The gold medal/pin says "Kellog Switchboard & Supply Co- Use Is the Test- Chicago Kansas City, San Francisco" (it must have a thick gold coating).

Holy crapola, does nobody else detect in Chicago? You cleaned house! The soil in those parks looks like it was VERY kind to every one of your coin finds, the IHP's are in stellar shape, as is all of the silver. Congratulations!!

Hi, nice finds, Congrats:icon_thumright:

Unbelievable finds for first trip to a park. It’s not supposed to happen that way! Lol congratulations my friend

Wow those coins really look to be in great shape. Congrats!

Thanks for the web links. I am always amazed by the different things you find in the ground that shed light on a piece of history. I had no idea that there was a museum for Telephony.

I was thinking the same thing. These are some amazing finds for some parks you just decided to drop in on. Nice going!!

I agree, nobody hunting in Chicago? pretty darn awesome on all of it! which machine did you take?

Great work!!! 🙌 Back in the 80's, my Mentor and I would work Washington and Jefferson Parks...but usually only on Sunday mornings. Before the Wildlife woke up. And because a LOTTA CPD officers would be around for hours. 😁

I took the Equinox 800 using Park 2 and recovery speeds 5 and 6 iron bias 0 (everything is deep in Chicago). I also dug a ton of clad, which is to be expected. A few aluminum bottle tops and pull tabs which sound like coins or gold.

Evening hunting in Chicago Parks ? You are a brave soul. You must have hit some nice little pockets. We have had many club hunts up there over the years, and would be lucky to come away with finds like those ! Of course none of us used the Equinox 800 either. Congrats on some nice coins.

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

Beautiful full date Standing Liberty, nice Silver Dime Trifecta, and I love that keyhole.
Big Congratulations.
