Children of the Corn, Rainbow medal, God & Country medal
I was out at a forest preserve and in keeping with my current streak, I managed only one wheatie (1920) three mem cents, and assorted weird metal objects.
Also found were these items...
The tube like object is a tent rope tightener - I'm sure it has some official name but I don't know it.
The Corn Neckerchief slide made my detector think an entire chain link fence was underground.
I thought it was a huge object, so I dug a hole almost larger diameter than my coil. In reality it's only about 1 1/2 inches across and 1 3/8 inch tall. The corn thing - not my coil.
The God and Country medal still has a totally intact and working pin on the back, so either it's not all that old, or it's been plated with something that made it almost rustproof. Ziebart perhaps.
The rainbow charm - uhhm, I hope it's not part of some new scouting movement.
