Chinese Gymnists, Male and Female

I have been watching the gymnists compete on TV for the past couple of nights. The Chinese are taking lessons from the old West German teams. In other words they cheat! The girl's team appear to be about 10 to 12 years old, but the Chinese have dummied up passports to show they are all at least 16. There is a lady on Yahoo that is a specialist in child development and she has studied and verified that in her opinion they are way to young to compete. Now as far as the mens teams go, the judging is horrific. Although obviously putting on performances equal to or superior to their Chinese counter parts, no USA gymnest was allowed to score into the 16.000s. Several scored something like 15.850, but in spite of flawless high risk moves they never made a 16.000. Even mediocre Chinese gymnists all scored into the 16.000s. Talk about home cooking. It's bad enough that the Chinese are a bunch of commies that are molly coddled by our government, but to be so petty as to cheat in games of honor shows that they have no honor. M nty

I watched Mark Phelps, and that was good for me. I swim like a rock and it's fascinating!

Bottom line, it's all politics. Look at the little girls and their singing. Can't believe anything anymore. Maybe it's a wake-up call. Glad they're reporting it. -Noodle

I was watching something else in another room and my wife called me in to watch. I couldn't believe the disparitiy in scoring. They didn't even bother to hide it much. The Japanese were probably as good or better than the USA or China, but they only came in 3rd. Monty

Sports don't make friends, winners make enemies out of lots of spectators.
The judges help and make some enemies too.....
Watch sports on TV and hate someone. Root for both sides and be a sport.

Darn good coverage?

It's been in the last few days where the complaint cropped up from journalists that ALL footage of the events would be provided by PRC to journalists, for rebroadcast.

In other words, every bit you see has passed by a PRC censor.

Now I heard a blurb today that one of the Chinese girl gymnists was still loosing baby teeth! I don't now why I watch this and let it bother me. I don't know any of those people anyway. I guess old farts just have to gripe about something? Monty

No, Monty, it's not just you. Thank goodness there are reports that enlighten us as to the "politics" going on.

At least we have a 'heads-up.' I'm sick over the challenges of the Olympics. These kids train so hard for so long, and when they get there, it's all political changes. I frankly would love to see another Olympics be established among the free countries of the world. Let the communist countries hold their own.

By the way, why are countries not being openly identified as "communist" nowadays?

Do they (and half of the US) prefer "socialist?" I'm confused.

No mention of Drug-cheats and the countries they come from ?Wonder how many will get caught before this event is finished ? the reason i ask these questions Hmmm The actions of a few is not reflextion of whole nations. i think one should think a little harder before making posts of this nature.
