Chippendale style armchair

This chair was my dad's. I had it appraised along with many other items but I'm not sure I believe it's the high value the appraiser listed.

So wondering if anyone here has a take.

I stopped by an antique shop and the owner thought it was likely early 20th century so I'd be lucky to get $25-$50. An appraiser last year said $900. Haha.

Perhaps it's best used for pen blanks.

The problem is, selling a single chair is tough. They are much harder to sell than if you were to have 4 or 6, because matching antique chairs is a huge challenge. So you will get proportionally more for 4 than one. Let’s say a single one is 50 bucks you might get 300 for 4 just as an example.
