First time poster and new member!

Hi, my dad has this bronze sculpture. After doing some research it seems to resemble a Miyao Style Gilt Bronze Samurai. I only have limited information about it and he lives overseas. I’m not too sure when it was made but there is one for sale online and the post has it listed as quite old. Does anyone here have any experience with something like this? Are there replicas floating around? I’m curious whether: 1. It is real and 2. If it is worth much. Thanks for your time. If better pictures are needed I will ask him to take some more in better lighting. I’d also like to add that it is a free standing sculpture and the base not part of the design.

I see some little difference in the one you have to the others for sale. I see on yours the tip of the arrow is broken off. Any chance you can get a closeup picture of that break? That way we might be able to tell if it's a solid brass or bronze cast or possibly a spelter cast with a bronzed surface.

Just asked for a photo of the arrow tip, overall it is very heavy so I’m hopeful that it is at least solid.

I work in the Buddha jewelry business, and I'm interesting on this kind of culture because both Japanese sculpture and Buddhist jewelry often incorporate symbolism and aesthetics that are deeply rooted in Buddhist beliefs.
About your bronze sculpture, I want to see more photos for watching more details. Perhaps a photo outside, in broad daylight?
