We were done with holiday "things" by 8 and my bride went back to lull-a-by, so I decided to go detecting ("Of course you are!" LOL)
I went back to the riverbank that has been producing and got there a little after high tide.
There was a nice little northerly current cutting into the shore and I was using my Nokta Legend.

The surprise of the day came about halfway through when I got a hit mixed in with some roots at the peak of the waves. A bunch of possibilities crossed my mind but none of them are a sure bet. I'm hoping someone here can help ID it. It seems to be pewter.

I'm not sure if that is a Lotus flower where the leaves cross or just a flower. The same motif is on both sides.
It is roughly 28 mm tall (not 2.8 as the diagram says).
Here is what the design looks like.

Here are the other items that showed up as well.
Musket balls, a 5.75" copper threaded rod (that might go with the round copper with dome item from the previous hunt, a large iron flat bar that I don't have images of yet, and three fused zincoln cents.

Here's the round copper with dome from two days prior and only about three feet from where I found this treaded rod.

The longer item resembles a threaded hinge pin.

Very Cool!!! Congrats!!!

Here's an update on this find.
I believe I've figured out what it is. I think it is a candle snuffer used to put out the flame on a candle. The two holes on the side would have been where it was attached to a handle of some kind. I haven't found an exact match but have found many examples online with many different types of handles.
Thanks to all for taking a look and especially if you offered any suggestions or insight.
