Detecting a spot in the woods this morning that looked as though it may have been used for picnic-grovin' back in the day and found a little concentration of civil war...note the date on the IHP. The bullet looking thing to the right of the wormed bullet is actually brass and has a shank looking piece of metal attached so wondering if it's some sort of hat accoutrement not sure there. Was a fun hunt 58 degree farhenheit day in December is rare here so just wanted to go digging in the woods. I've been Bronzed! Happy new years everyone, thank you for the views & support, and I sincerely wish goodwill to the T-net family!

Brass piece to the right of the wormed bullet is a brass finial. Most likely from a bayonet scabbard. The brass piece below the wormed bullet is a strap adjuster. They were attached to leather and used for things like gun slings.

Congrats on some nice CW relics. :icon_thumleft: It's always nice to find coind from the CW era. I don't think I've ever dug a pulled bullet yet. Well done.

I’ve dug lots of CW bullets, mostly dropped 3-ringers and Enfield, and a lot of carved bullets, even a dice carved from a bullet, but no pulled ones. I’m not giving up. 👍
