I'm on the road this week heading to Nevada and I had a chance to hit one of my favorite indoor flea markets on the way. I saw this 10 inch silver dish with some glassware on top of it on a shelf and it had the look, so I set everything on top to the side and checked it over. It is marked sterling only in very small letters. Not sure of the weight, as I don't have my scale with me, but it's for sure a good clean piece of 92.5% silver worth more than the dollar and change I gave for it.

Gotta love it when the sterling isn't marked smack in the center bottom! So many times they miss it.

Big chunk of silver, sweet score and the price is ridiculous. Love it!

It is a thin construction, but it should yield maybe $35 to $40 in scrap value I'm thinking and yes the price was perfect. This particular flea market has come up with some surprises for me over the years.

Good eye and a good catch.

Nice score. I've been in a huge slump myself lately. Don't know what's going on.

Great find I would have put the orange sticker over the sterling just to be sure they didn't have a more knowledgable cashier.

It's getting much more rare to find sterling in the 2nd hand market anymore, but still it comes around at times. This piece revealed it's self at the end of the very last row I was walking down and had I not seen it, I was just about ready to leave the place with nothing.

I hear you. My brother in law found a sweet Navajo buckle attached to a $5 belt a few weeks back at a local mom & pop shop.

Really nice find
