Pretty cool. Two doors. One for the women and the other for the men. I forget, which denominations did that? Too bad it's caving in.

Nice stonework in the ole building makes a beautiful picture.

That is scary. A Criminal Minds type of story.

The old sign says it was a Baptist church.....Not sure why it was designed like that. The pic with the two doors is what I believe was the living quarters for the pastor. I think they used to call it the Parsonage.

Dang! I was looking into where Cuervo was and ran across this disturbing story.
https://www.google.com/amp/krqe.com/2014/10/31/disturbing-find-in-abandoned-route-66-buildings/amp/ You very often find this type of vandalism in old abandoned sites. Heck it's all up and down the interstate system in rest areas and sleazy truck stops. Really makes me wonder at times what kind of people you're really actually running into on the road.?? Seems we have no shortage of creeps in this country.
I saw the the graffiti inside and that's why I didn't take any inside pics. Never thought anything more about it sense there is graffiti everywhere.

Yeah I don't know why those people took the graffiti as somekind evel doings, clearly they haven't been in old abandoned buildings all that much. Heck graffiti can be found on the old ruins of the Roman Empire. I took a picture of this old store in South Park Colo and yes there were the works of vandals and tagger's on the inside of it. I sure didn't look at like some cult was involved. Just some clowns were in it at one time.

My brain wasn't working very well last night. We used to live in a house with two front doors (DUH). We were told it was because it was probably a Dunkard home. It had an "L"-shaped barn that we were told was a horse and buggy barn. I found this site that suggests it may not be about religion, but that it was the practice of Germans. There is a lot of German heritage in Ohio.
