Welcome to tnet great find that's cool

Thanks man

Great find!
I found something like this in a Birmingham park from another long defunct bank and learned a ton about these things.
They were called safety pocket banks and mine was made by a different company and I even found a 1905 ad in a business newspaper that mentioned the one I found.

These were very popular around the turn of the century, they were marketing tools the banks gave out to help increase their business and amount of depositors.
They had a slot in the top section where you inserted coins and supposedly only a teller at the bank could open them with a special tool who would then dump out the coins and then put them into your account.
In reality any small blade or screwdriver tip inserted into a slot would pop them open.
All were made out of metal and I am sure were pretty heavy when filled, I can see these would be considered cherished treasure holders by any kid that carried one of these around in their pockets at that time.

I put this in the category of one of my most coolest and most interesting finds.
