Popped this odd brass piece a few days ago and wrote it off as unidentified brass piece #706. Went back and looked at it today and suddenly it dawned on me what it might be. Half of a pistol bullet mold! So I took a toothpick and found a small crack and started picking at it. Turned out I was right and I got to scratch another one off my bucket list. It looked to be filled with iron rich clay (which is completely unlike the soil it was found in) and it wasn't until it dried completely that I saw where the clay was separating from the cavity.. Truthfully never thought I'd dig a bullet mold but I'm super happy with it!

Thanks! I'm just glad I was able to identify it. Now to look for the other half!
