Ok I almost tossed this out by accident from my finds bag. Was hunting with family and friends last week and found this within one foot of a droppped three ringer bullet. I ran it under some cold water and used a toothbrush to remove the dirt. It appears to have a shield with an eagle on top with a possible arrow. It also looks to have stars going around the inside with some wording but I cannot read what it is. It still has some goldish guild (if thats the proper word). I posted on the "What is it " forum and TNet member Aeromike said it looked like a New York Button. I checked it out on google and found a link saying it was a New York Line Officer two piece button but I did not find the back. Any other information would be appreciated. Thanks for reading and I hope everyone has a fun, safe Thanksgiving.

Nice button, we need to get back out there and hit it hard, if it ever stops raining. Cool Find.....especially since you did not know what it was until the mud was cleaned........ :icon_thumleft:

Very nice. I bet there's much more out there we just gotta find the right spot. :icon_scratch:

Nice find! Keep your eyes peeled for the back of that staff officer button.

Cheers,

Buckles
