Civil War Era Coat Button, SOLVED

I found this Button the other day at an old home site on the River.

I saw a Button like this one posted as a Civil War Cuff Button.
This Button is a 2 Piece, it is domed and it is about the size of a Penny.
The back is blank.
Is this Button a Civil War Button?
Thank You for your Time.

It is a US Army Enlisted-man's button, manufactured from 1854-to-1874. Because it was for use by Enlisted-men (rank of private through sargeant) of all branches of the army (Infantry, Artllery, Cavalry, etc), it is called a "General Service" button for the US Army. You say it is "about the size of a [US] penny" so it is the coat-size version, not the cuff-size.

Thank You Very Much.
There was a lot of the land in West Michigan was given to the Veterans of the Civil War.
That is how my family ended up in Michigan.
