Civil War Era Belt Buckle ID Please

My Friend found this buckle this weekend, We have found one on Ebay that is similar, but it is a little different, this buckle has the # 400 stamped ont he clip on the back. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

It looks like a sword belt plate (1851-1874)... Only the other side is missing the loop deal...??

Just a guess... I'll be quickly corrected if I'm wrong!

I agree. Regulation Model 1851 sword belt plate with an applied nickel silver wreath, now missing along with the keeper.
