I found this at a very old property. It looks like an eagle button with a wire thing coming out the back. There doesn't seem to be any back marks. Any info would be great!

Surf is correct. After the civil war, "Patriotic" Lady's Hatpins became a hot "Fashion" item... particularly for civil war Veterans' wives and daughters to wear at Veterans' Reunions/Conventions. I've seen quite a few such latter-1800s/early-1900s hatpins which used a Military button for its top. They turn up for sale on Ebay occasionally.

Wow Thanks CannonballGuy and Surf!!!

I was wondering if the pins are made out of a real button or produced separately for a hat pin?

From what looks like no backmark on the button I would say it was made later. I know that you could buy those dies after the war. There was an old time dealer who sold some of those dies.
