Civil War Navy button?

Hunting a Lake Michigan beach I been to dozens of times and this surprisingly comes out of the dry sand.

We had a lot of rain lastly and there has been a bit of erosion but this was the last thing I thought I would find today.

So what say the experts Is it Civil War era? Any info appreciated.
