Can anyone ID this sword? It is marked "Weyersberg & (can't read the next word) Solingen." These words are written in cursive. The blade is marked "Eisenhauer" on one side of the blade and "Echtdamast" on the other. Thanks!

I have discovered it is marked "Weyersberg & Stamm Solingen" but in a cursive font unlike the standard stamped font.

Austrian Cavalry Officer Sabers pattern 1861?

It might possibly be! Thank you for responding!

Swords from many time periods were used in the Civil War. One Confederate Gen. was wounded and was found to be using his father's sword from the war of 1812. Gary

Great ID and sweet sword
