I found this on a Confederate battlefield over the weekend. Electrolysis did an amazing job. I love old relics like this. More exciting than a coin in my opinion. Although I dont mind finding those either.

Nice old shoe! Cooking it worked wonders!
 

Great shoe....that horse just about wore that one into two pieces.sometimes I find just one worn out half.

I dont know very much about horseshoes but I dug it along with a bunch of Confederate bullets and at this location which is a known battlefield I would imagine it's probably from the Civil war. Either way it's old and cool I think.
