Civil war sword buckle?

I posted some finds in the today's finds section, I figured I'd put this buckle on here.

I believe I found a pic of what it should have looked like whole. I guess if you were inly gonna find a peice of one, this is the piece you would want! Helped to make an ID, I wasnt sure what it was when I pulled it out of the ground, I searched all around for more of it, but there was nomore.
