In a local park they removed the top soil to build a new playground, I hit it last week and got a Merc, a Rosie and a dozen wheats. Today I passed and saw that they added about 6 inches of fill to it, so I checked it out and saw some old bricks in the fill, and hit it with my 'tector. In 5 minutes I had a green disk which I thought was an Indian head, but it had a reeded edge. Further examination shows that it is a Civil War Token. It was only about 2 inches down and had to come in with the new fill. I've been soaking it all day in a hot peroxide bath and hitting it with a toothpick to make it identifiable. I believe it is an 1863 with an indian head, and the reverse says "W. G. Fox, Oysters Fruits & Liquors, 195 Main St, Buffalo".
