Had a great day out Friday with a friend! We were turned on to a piece of private property that was a CCC work camp. It's been a pasture for the last +60 years, so there is plenty of other 'treasure' to detect through... ;)

The first picture is just a compilation of a day's digging, and the next two show the outline of a stone-lined walkway. (you have too look close, but once you see it, it's obvious)

The owner of the property remembers as a kid the tents that were lined up in this field, and also says the cellar in the background was behind the house that burned in the '30s. That house/location also served as a local post office after a nearby military emcampment moved on.

The owner was most gracious, and I'm looking forward to hitting the site with vigor this summer, when I upgrade my detector! :laughing7:
