wow, nice finds! is that a no stars seated dime?
Yes, found at an old church, it's also the first and only seated coin I've found. I saw the back first and thought it was a barber, then I flipped it over and couldn't believe what I saw, my first seated coin!!

my hunt today was cladless and I was thrilled! I love days with absolutely ZERO clad, how bout some closeups of the seated coin

Hmmmmmmm, been hunting Pa. For over 30 years and can't remember a clad free day, then again gettin old and memory is shot. LOL!

I have never had a clad less day in Pa either. Great finds and the lock is awesome. I can't wait until I find one.

I pray for days like that nice wtg ROB! :coffee2:

Ron, my son found this in a dry creek bed. I kept telling him it was junk, to leave it. Took him awhile, it was down in the creek rock pretty deep. I'm glad he was persistent! Found out it's from the New York Central R.R. circa 1860's thanks to Creskol. Here's a better pic...Rich

Awesome finds!

I'm a California boy who was vacationing in Pennsylvania a couple of years ago and drove by an old church in a tiny little town that had a sign out front that said: "Established 1863, All Welcome". I pulled the rental car over, took out my metal detector and started to detect. After a half hour worth of hunting I dig a 1887 seated dime out of the ground! I'm a little envious of the east coast hunters!
