I found a 1943 class ring that has MFDING on inside of band, might be MF.DING. I was wondering what that stands for. The parts of it I got cleaned so far look kinda like gold but almost has a redish tint to it. Found it about 10 inches down in wet salt sand. Has some of that green gunk on it.

H. Fletcher Brown Vocational High School ring?

M F Ding is probably the person's name.

Seems like someone already ID'd the school? At any rate, find the school associated with it (should be on the ring), and take it to the school (or correspond with them) and find out who it belongs to.

Nice ring tazz1.
Your ring has similar shape and style as the one I posted yesterday.
It could have been made by the same company.
If you track down your ring with the school see if they have a record of the company that made them and post it.
Thanks
