After doing a little research my daughter and I started hunting some ground in Clay County Missouri that was once owned by some famous Youngers back in the 1800's. Today we found 2 bullets, 1 acme 10 gauge brass, 2 buckles and some old nails. We found these in a area where there is absolutely no trash. We have only hunted maybe 1% of this property. This property was also owned by one of the members of the Quantraills Raiders.

Very nice! It sounds like there will be a lot to find there. HH

Keep looking and good luck...

Man! you find something that you can tie to the "Youngers"......WOW! Keep us informed........................HH

Gunrunner, just letting you know my daughter and I might have found something very very significant yesterday! We haven't got it out of the ground yet but here is something that my son was trying to pull on and it broke off while he was doing it. Half of this odd steel box is under a tree and the top of the box is about 10 to 12 inches in the ground. It started raining here so we cannot dig anymore so hopefully we will be out tomorrow evening to try to get it out of the ground. I am pretty excited about it but don't want to get my hopes up!!!!!IMG_20120913_153851.webp

The rust color is the top of the box.

The suspense is kill me. :icon_scratch: I’m thinking you found Jesse James loot.

I never heard of a kid that didn’t like playing in the rain and mud. That loot should have been converted into candy or a Iphone by now.:laughing7:

Keep us posted and take lots of pictures.

It is killing me too! I really wasn't that excited about it because I didn't want to get my hopes up but now since my son broke that handle off of the side it changes everything. There is a really good story that goes with this all but I don't want to tell it yet just in case this isn't it.

I will keep everyone informed believe me.

Well after getting it dug up it looks like someone discarded an old fender which was bent in half. :icon_scratch: Oh well it was fun thinking it might be it. This won't stop us we will just keep searching this property.

FENDER!

Man, I hope didn’t order Iphones for the kids yet.

Be on the look out for the rest of the car.

GL&HH

Neat finds!.......Watch out for the "KGC".................:laughing9:..............HH

It looks like all of you will have a blast on the search. :hello2::hello2::hello2: HH
