Clay- Something -OR- Other

Found in a stream bed, in New Jersey, after a heavy rain.

Appears to be formed... Or is it just a random piece of clay?

It does look odd, it sort of reminds me of a piece of bone that a friend of mine found one time that had a face scratched on it. It sort of look's like that.

It feels like Pottery/Clay.
We had a few days of really bad rain and this is what surfaced.

I found a couple other strange pieces in the same spot..
One of them does look like bone.. I'll post it.
