I cleaned the 1723 silver coin. It is from Bavarian King Max Emmanuel (1662 - 1726). Cleaned up well and is in very nice condition. A tedious clean up job of picking with a toothpick and short dips in a liquid silver cleaner. Here’s the after and before pictures. Obverse.

Reverse, my light makes the silver look red toned but it really retains a shiny luster.

This is what it looked like before I cleaned it, the reverse side in the picture and the obverse was even worse. Had I not cleaned it, I probably would not of been able to ID it but I had a good idea, LOL! HH, Mike

You must have wonderful collections, 284 years old, gee thats about how long it takes for one of my biscuits to digest :P

Very good looking coin... great job on cleaning it...which most of the time on a coin that old is a No No....

:)

Hey Mike.......Those are some great finds! Silver coins dating back to who knows when, are excellent finds. I have a question? Can I trade the German coin for one of those ancient silver pieces!!! hahahahahaha Only kidding! Thanks again guy. WTG

To think that coin is as old at the US is awesome. Your probably the first one to touch it in a bout 3 century's!!! :o

Now that is old silver and great condition, just wonder how many people have walked on top of it? ???

That is one very nice coin....I would an ambulance if I found that, lol.....How did you clean it so good without hurting it?

You did a great job of cleaning that coin.

It's nice to actually see what it looks like. Thanks for showing it.

That's an awesome coin Mike.

It turned out really well from the looks of the before condition.

Mike that coin cleaned up great, wow what a find, now go find some more and post them, those are super cool coins to look at

Congrats

Thanks for the great comments, the coin turned out very nice! I do not usually clean them much but after living in a field for almost 300 years, the collectors value goes way down due to the scratches and all. The thick patina on this coin saved it from wearing and scratching. I will not clean the coin from 1303. HH, Mike

Cleaned up real nice mike and Congrats on your "Awsome coin"

t.p :o :o :o
