Thread to the object is here. This was found in an area rumoured to have been a blacksmith shop that I'm going back to hit hard. Electrolysis is the first thought to come to mind but I don't have a tank big enough to put this in. Any suggestions on how to clean this up ?

I use a heavy piece of rubber from a pool liner. Use cement blocks on the outside to hold the rubber up.

You can sometimes also use a small plastic "kiddie pool".
