Cleaning modern coins

How do you clean modern coins, that only have face value? A lot of the pennies I find have some corrosion on them, and my bank won't accept them. Lots of the quarters and dimes are black, how do you clean them up, too?

personally i just spend them

also heard at one point that they have used a rock tumbler to clean modern coins

Mick..........go by one of your local craft stores and pick up a rock tumbler. Should run around $25.00. Get a bag of course sand from Lowes and the rocks in the tumbler kit or from your driveway and you are ready to o go. I just cleaned about $30.00 in chad and it look new. TomB
