Cleaning Silver Plated Items

What is the best way to clean silver plated items such as suspender clips, etc...?

Lemon juice?

Hello,

I was watching a Hoover boys episode and they suggested CLR. I used it on a gold plated pin and my silver war nickel. Full disclosure, I am new to the hobby and chemicals are a dangerous thing for preserving things. Please use discretion, good luck.
