Cleaning

Hello all i was wondering if anybody could spare some of their vast knowledge for cleaning items that are dug up. Ultrasonic cleaners, tumblers, waterpiks, olive oil, acetone, vinegar, distilled water, etc... I figured certain chemicals work for certain things like coins of various metals, iron, copper, brass, etc....
