clip? on trail near plated spoon

Found this "supreme silver plate" fork, 1941 penny and 1956 nickel on a hunting/old cart trail. The piece of metal looks familiar but I can't place it. There are holes on the end that may have held rivets..don't know.
Oh, yes, I meant "fork"

I think Supreme Silver Plate is a International Silver trademark and dates to the 1930s

Yeah it seems there is still some from as late as the 1960's. Shotgun shells in the area,too.
