Hi all,

This came from a 1600s revolutionary war battlefield. Is it a clock? It has a winding mechanism in the back. Any idea of its potential age?

Thanks all.

I've gotten the early H frames many times and the winder as yours from later sites.

Thanks all!

Pepperj- do you agree that this could be modern 40’s or 50’s? I can’t seem to find any info on them, and I checked Icewing’s suggested webpage to ID but had no luck.

Could the term be batwing style. I've owned clocks that had this type of winder, but trying to recall something 40yrs ago isn't as easy as digging dirt. I'd put the movement earlier than 40's

Count De Monet - Sir, the peasants are revolting!

King Louis - You said it. They stink on ice.
