I don't think I posted pics of this piece here before, if I did let me know. I'm a member of another board too and I can't keep them straight

I purchased this clovis recently and thought I would share some pics with everybody. It is from Ohio, and originally owned by Lowell Thomas who was a famous actor and news anchor. It is 4-1/4" long and made of coshocton flint. it is almost perfect with the exception of a few nips where it was wired to a board. I have the pics of it wired to a board and it breaks my heart. the flutes are not deep but they are long. it's a neat piece and the center piece of my paleo frame. DSC00220.webp

outstanding paleo point, never get tired of looking at clovis points. Truly a shame he decided to wire them to a frame, but the piece is so nice the nicks dont really bother me. That reminds me of a frame of tools I bought off a farmer a few years ago. Unfortunately he too decided to mount all the artifacts with wire. Luckily they weren't really damaged from the wires because they were stone tools, axes, celts, etc., but every single piece had a strange copper colored patina. sorry for rambling, anyway, great piece Scott, thanks for posting that beauty.

nice !! !! truly a beautiful piece. one of the rarest objects on our planet and so sought after. thanks for showing.

It looks great in your frame though a pleasure to see in person as well, you have some killer relics!
