This one is a little different. I planned a trip to Flordia about 15 years ago but never took it. I just ran across my notes for the trip. They may be either garbage or gold to you depending on where you live. It lists targets, ghost townes and fort sites. Good luck
Martanzas Inlet-1714 plate fleet 11 gallions lost & est $75 million
Note:Ft. Martanzas was on rattlesnake Is. at mouth of Martanzas Inlet.
:Ft Fulton,1840, Bank of Pelicers Ck. near Mart River 3 mi. SW of inlet.
Anastasia Is. small chest of $50,000 S of mart Inlet.(3 hours walk from ST.August) near large oak tree.
Jesse Fish W side of Anastas Is 4 miles S of St August-1700's "El Vergel"
A cash of Spanish coins is buried on beach just S of St August.
Note: Ft Petton, near Moultrie 1863
The port of St August Inlet has at least 100 wrecks from 1700's
Several plantations dating back to the Spanish period along the banks of the North River.

This is half the note sheet. If any one is interested I will show the last half. Frank

There are always some great finds coming from the spots you have just recommended. It seems just after a big storm is when they turn up. Thanks for sharing Frankn

Re: Clue#8 or the trip I never took to Flordia

That is a long drive Frank, I made the drive twice.. Was 1000 miles each way, 16 hours.. to Bradenton.. Long Long Ride! :tard: :coffee2: :coffee2: :coffee2: ;D

I have been down there many times. Mostly to take the kids to theme parks but I have hunted a few caches down there like those revolving rifles that were lost in the great Oky. swamp. That was a bad move. You have to be a swamp person to survive down there. I found a couple of nice rings on Marco Island but the fire ants there were real bad. They wait until a bunch are on your leg then the leader yells STING and your leg looks like it tangled with a Man Of Was jelly. lol Frank

Laid on a colony of those fire ants yesterday afternoon while installing a new trailer hitch, didn't know it until the first one attacked, then all heck broke lose! :laughing9:

Thanks frankn I have a bunch of those maps of F.L. that garrett gave out in the 70 ,s that shows a lot of those spots

Jonnie

I had most of them marked on a Florida road map. Was going to spend several weeks searching but something else came up. That map is long gone. Frank

Thanks for the info. Frank!
