staeted the day out md'ing with a freind of mine but then we switched to digging up a bottle dump and digging around one of the old mines near my home town when i found this (the pictures aren't the best)anyone know how to clean this type of mineral specimen? thanks for looking

It looks like quartz ? If it is get some powdered oxcyilic acid ,mix with water per instructions,and soak until clean. Hope I spelt "oxcyilic" right. Congrats by the way !!
