Neat find indeed!

I recall when I discovered my first non-Nazi swastika.

We were in an antique shop and there was this large floor lamp ca. 1920's that had a very large swastika cast into the base. I commented to the shop owned that I'd never buy that lamp.

Later I looked into it and found out what the swastika really meant and it was used a long time before World War II Germany adopted it (some 3000 years old).

In fact it once appeared on the shoulder patches of members of the American 45th Division and the Finnish air force (WWI).

Thanks for the great story Badger,
While doing my research , I found many cultures considered swastika
as good luck symbol, including USA, note town of Swastika Wisconsin,
it was featured on Danish brewer Carlsberg bottles,

I'll bet many of them in original condition are worth big bucks today.

And too I'll bet your find is worth more than maybe you think.
