i know this is an old post but what the hey.
i live in the area and all ive ever found around the pier is trash (pop tops and the like).
i usually go a little further south to sabastian inlet and hunt there but im looking for some inland places to hit up this week and weekend.

When I lived in merritt Island,my favorite place to go was Jetty Park. I had good luck down by the rocks out in the water. I found a fishing weights,rings,etc. Be care though,you can get cut on the rocks,if you slip. I miss going to the beach and at the time used a fisher 1280x and a garrett xl 500. I aso found a few rings in the dry sand also. Anyhow,brings back memories. Take your time and dig up everything!!
