Codd bottle

Hi again,
I also have a Codd bottle with a marble in the neck, made by Redfearn Bros. Bottle Makers Barnsley. On the front it says: The Sussex horizontally and Brighton vertically; under Brighton is Mineral Water horizontally. It also says Trade on one side of Brighton and Mark on the other. Any thoughts anyone?

I have found the same sort of thing, but the marble was separate!

that bottle is a few years old that factory has had about 3 different companies own it since it was called redfearns and i worked there when i first left school in about 1958

I have found a selection of Hove mineral codd bottles whist digging in Brighton/Hove. Usually saying Hove minerals, with Brighton on the lid. I have read that they are often found broken as kids woulds smash them to retrieve the marble.
