Try it out and see what you have. It should work great. I only use the stock coil on mine, but you should get a little more depth, possibly.

I don't think anyone here is shy..........We just wonder why you need someone to tell you to use it and see how YOU like it.

I was advised by Modern Miner to get the 9x8 and use it instead of the stock coil. I have heard that pin pointing with is may be difficult? I just wanted to know if anyone out there had any tips on it. Modern Miner never answers my PM's or email.

The best way to figure out how your coil pinpoints is to find clean ground without metals and lay down a dime. Wave coil at it from different directions and heights to see where it first makes your detector respond. Do this in pinpoint mode and disc. You may find you won't need to switch to pinpoint at all with some practice. I expect you will find detector goes off when coin is just off the tip, but all coils are different.
