I looked up the 1 franc I found today? on ebay and there were several. Some sites I went to listed one like mine at $4 in fine condition.

the coin with the Square hole is known as a "Cash COIN"? it is most likely chinese

Grat,s Zeke, on your info,for the franc.I would think my half could only be worth a few bucks but its worth more to me setting in my silver box. I to have a BH and was thinking of a Garrett becouse of the soil in East TN.Much like over in NC.I think,not much soil but a lot of slate and clay.How well does the Garrett do in such conditions? Ihave been told it's the one iI should get.

Definitely a wide divercity of coinage...
You might try doing a google on the script on that token. You can usually find a match from one site, or another, to get a little info on it..
