I’ve used about all modern ones but right now: CTX 3030, White’s MXT Pro, XP Deus, AT Pro, Xterra 505, White’s TRX
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
These are my coin finds from March through the beginning of May.

For the silver, the oldest is the well-worn Barber dime which is dated 1896, and the newest is the 1964 dime. I also found a 1948 Franklin half that I haven't posted on this thread.

The rest of the coins consist of a 1855 ten Centimes French coin and a bunch of wheats, few IHs and a buffalo and older Jefferson. The Jefferson narrowly missed being a silver year.

I have to work my tail end off for the silver. Twice I found two during one hunt this year and once I found three, but the majority of the silver equates to 1 per hunt and I will go around five hunts between finding them. I've been trying to target mostly turn of the century homes this year, but is has been tough because a lot of folks have been reluctant to let me search.

I hope these pictures encourages everyone. Keep diggin!

I hear ya Pointman, I work really hard for silver as well but boy is it rewarding when it comes out of the ground with that special color. There is no mistaking it! To me, you have had a rewarding few months. The silver looks great. I'm always a big fan of the Indians. Man you have found the wheats. Congrats on it all.

I agree that it is rewarding when you see it in the dirt. The last two Mercs I found were both 1943 and I wasn't expecting them. I was really discouraged after 3 hours of searching and not even finding a wheat and then I started to really strain my ears and move my coil slower and I found the first Merc and the second came along about an hour later. I felt so much better after having a half dozen hunts without much to show for it.

Nice coins, love that silver.

Nice Pointman nice! Good looking pile of loot. You are just barely beating me... actually, I am in your draft, awaiting the perfect opportunity to pass you. You have (2) more silver dimes, and (1) more Indian than I do. I have no silver half, and only 28 wheaties.

GL&HH!

Hey, that is just my March, April and May finds so far!:laughing7: January and February were tough months because of the weather, but I still pulled some silver. It is hard to believe that some folks are triple or more on the silver more than me. So far it seems to be a tough year for me.

Guess I'm doing pretty good this year, but it seems like I have been putting a lot more into it with less spectacular results then I want. I've hunted some good places with nothing to show for it. I have a number of silver that I am trying to find by a certain date and certain items on my coin bucket list that I am still waiting to find. Hope that I can make it.
