years ago I bought my mom and dad a bunch of coins while I was out west. after my mom died they were all returned to me. I have a few morgan silver dollars 1880, 1888, 1891 and 2 1928 peace dollars, plus 1942, 2 1944,1945, walker halves. the one 1928 looks mint to me, so where is the best place to get these graded ?

Hello,
Most coin stores will grade them for a price. You can buy "United States Coins 2013". eBay has them for around $16.00. They show pictures of the particular coin, and the grading description. At least u have a ball park figure on what the coin is worth. I am not a professional, but I have graded my fathers coin collection and he had over 20,000 different coins, including 10,000 wheat pennies. You can take a picture of the coin front and back and email the pictures to me...just a thought.

sounds good, ;

Consider two values...the amount of silver in the coin, and the value of the particular coin...dated and condition.
Get thee to a trustworthy coin trader...or just keep the silver in the safe for the collapse.

All except maybe the Peace dollars are common and pretty much worth silver value. Are you sure they are both 1928? A 1928 is worth a pretty substantial amount. It looks like the darker colored one has an S mintmark, which is pretty common and pretty much melt value. On the brighter one, I can't see the mintmark area very well, but looks like it could be a 1923?

both are 1928 s
